M42 Orion Nebula. A Vacation to the dark skies of Lake Chelan, WA in September 2010 produced some great shots. The place that we rented had an eastern view, so Orion was rising by about 2:30 in the morning in September. This photo is a stack of 7 shots at various exposures between 42 and 150 seconds at ISO 1600. Taken with a Canon XSi with a 55-250mm zoom lens piggybacked on a Celestron NextStar 11 GPS.
