The Constellation Orion
A late winter picture of the constellation Orion taken with a Mead DSI camera fitted with a 2mm webcam lens. ( more info here ) This combination gets about 70 degrees of coverage with amazing low light capabilites. When I get a chance, I'll get Steven Mogg to make me a proper adapter, but for now my kludged up pressboard adapter is fun to play with. Amazing that lots of really interesting things in the night sky don't need a telescope, just really good low light capabilites. February 2006.
